WHAT IS COOPERATISM?

Some people think Cooperatism is a new political ideology or the first non-adversarial economic system… others see it as a socio-economical movement or doctrine that is strongly needed and whether it is adapted in full or in parts, it can meet the challenges and needs of the present economic and financial crisis.

Cooperatism’s main goal is building and owning an enterprise with a group of people, that eliminates or minimizes the abuse resulting from the corporate model.

Cooperatism promotes organized work that sustains people’s needs and improves their quality of life.

The Cooperatism’s strength is human participation and the desire of each member to further their own human development. Each person takes a protagonist roll in the socio-economical process of the every day life.

Cooperatism is based on moral values, commitment and the integral dignity of human development.
